L.A.
State of Mind Review: In case you missed the lowest SPICE related album chart, it was #453. There were only 670 sold in the first week. I'm not sure if that is because a lot of fans were diappointed with HOT or if everyone that loved HOT bought a copy of this one. I bought both versions to continue my support of Melanie B and didn't expect a lot from this album. I must say that I was knocked down a peg by Mel's newest album. I totally expected it to sound like HOT, but I was very surprsied by the more laid back beats and lyrics. Mel B defines an L.A. State of Mind as "laid back," which is the perfect way to decribe the tracks. I like this album a lot better than HOT and currently under review DVD Review: This is basically a half hour of your life that you won't get back. I really wanted a DVD that had more insight into the album telling me some of the ideas behind the tracks. This is basically a half hour of Mel B telling us how she lives in L.A. I won't give away the whole thing, but I will add one more thing about watching it. Please have your remote handy while watching. The volume is loud for the music and low for the speaking parts. It will get boring turning the volume up and down a handful of times.
